Assigned Role does not give access to resource #1141

Hi,

I have setup pangolin using the installer and added some sites and resources.
When adding my users explicitly to the resources, I can access them with these users.
However, when trying to assign a role instead of each user independently, I get an "unauthorized" error when trying to reach the page. ( I double-checked if the users I'm testing with are assigned the same role as is assigned to the resource, which they are)

Did I misinterpret the usage of the 'Roles' function within pangolin?
I tried searching the docs, but cannot find a clear answer to this.
