Steps to Reproduce

create a device (deviceid:1)
run the following with a valid token

curl -X PATCH "https://demo.netbox.dev/api/dcim/devices/1/" \
  -H "Authorization: Token TOKENGOESHERE" \
  -H "Content-Type: application/json" \
  -H "Accept: application/json" \
  --data '{
    "custom_fields": {
      "thisfieldshouldntexist": "random text here"
    }
  }'

view changelog. see that thisfieldshouldntexist was shown as accepted and in the customfields block

Expected Behavior

only customfields that exist in netbox should be shown in changelog before/after block

Observed Behavior

invalid custom field data that was posted shows in the changelog
