My suggestion would be to keep the current user system, but implement a way to use an identity provider using LDAP/OAuth. I am new to contributing, but would love to help out.

Delete Branch "%!s()"

Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
