SSH Key failure when ftp user exists #511
Reference in New Issue
Block a user
Delete Branch "%!s()"
Deleting a branch is permanent. Although the deleted branch may continue to exist for a short time before it actually gets removed, it CANNOT be undone in most cases. Continue?
Originally created by @fatbluefish on 8/12/2022
CloudPanel version(s) affected
2.0.2
Description
Unable to authenticate using SSH Key as primary site-user when an FTP user is attached to the site.
Connection falls back to password authentication, which works fine.
Removing the ftp user resolves the issue.
How to reproduce
Assign public key to primary site user and then add an ftp user leaving all options on their defaults.
Possible Solution
No response
Additional Context
Cloudpanel 2.0.2 running on Debian 11.4 (MariaDB 10.8)
Changing permissions of /home/ to 0700 or 0755 resolves the issue too.
SSH debug log (password auth is disabled in this example)....
