Currently the Auto-Launch startup folder filters for shortcut files but I don't see a reason for this.
I have a .bat file that restarts voice meter and a portable .exe file, but I had to create shortcuts to these files within the same folder for them to auto-launch.

This is also somewhat related, the process detection for VRChat looks for VRChat and vrserver, but vrserver is part of SteamVR not VRChat, so it's auto-launching with SteamVR not VRChat.
