Explain in detail what your suggested feature would be used for.
Some thumbnails (e.g. user profiles, user icons) which are displayed at varying resolutions tend to get downscaled poorly to lower resolutions. For instance when a user profile is used as the friend icon, the icon gets resized using seemingly point filtering, which harms legibility and identifiablity (the icons get resized poorly lol). The API allows one to specify the resolution of the icon to request, perhaps this could be leveraged? Alternatively, possibly resizing using bicubic filtering in memory before handing off to the UI renderer?

The UI would look identical to the current UI, except most icons / profile thumbnails would look nicer as they're resized correctly.

It improved legibility and allows people to better identify worlds / friends from the sidebar and other places at a glance.
