Explain in detail what your suggested feature would be used for.
I would like to suggest that the same system used for managing pictures taken from the camera be adapted to also work similarly for captured prints and stickers. While not all the information about a print is available when capturing it, basic information, like the player who uploaded/took the print/sticker, the date at which it was uploaded, and the ID can be extracted from the file name (I need to take a closer look at how this actually works). In addition, with this functionality being added, dragging a captured print into the image metadata viewer should also present the user with an option to crop the border off (& copy to clipboard), similar to uploading a print.

TLDR:

  • Image metadata for prints & stickers
  • Allow the metadata viewer UI to recognize prints and add the option to crop them (or crop & copy to clipboard)
  • Yes, I know this wouldn't have as much data available to it, but anything is better than nothing

Describe how it would look if it requires a UI.
With the power of the inspect element: (I replaced the upload button in this example, but you get the idea)

Explain why people would want to use it.

  • Embedding useful metadata in things is cool and useful
  • Cropping the borders off prints is cool
  • Not having to read the file name to get information is also cool
