Explain in detail what your suggested feature would be used for.
Two new pieces of information could be easily viewed when clicking on a friend:

which avatar they were wearing when you first became their friend
which avatar they were wearing when you were last in an instance with them.

Describe how it would look if it requires a UI.
When clicking a user, two new cards labelled "Last seen wearing" and "First seen wearing" would be shown. clicking on them would take you to the avatar.

Explain why people would want to use it.
For many like me, it is difficult to remember the names of everyone on their friends list.
It's often a lot easier for me to remember people by the avatars they wear. Some users change avatars quite frequently, so it becomes difficult to remember them. Having secondary information like the avatar they last wore can be very helpful pointers to help users remember.
