Describe the bug
There is considerable lag/freeze when switching to the Friends List" view.

To Reproduce
Steps to reproduce the behavior:

Have many friends (I have 173)
Be on any tab other than "Friends List"
Open "Friends List"
Notice it takes longer than other tabs

Expected behavior
The friends list should open relatively fast, lazy loading in data as needed

Screenshots
If applicable, add screenshots to help explain your problem.
I am using a release build,. but a quick perf snapshot. The big "Event: click" is the lag spike
