Explain in detail what your suggested feature would be used for.
I have a pretty dense friend network, finding specific friends can be a little difficult, a search bar that highlights (Even better if it highlights as you type) would make this a lot less cumbersome
Describe how it would look if it requires a UI.
A little search bar under instance activity, as you type your friends name, high light friends it closely matches, similar to how searching your friends works, showing all it matches closest. If exact match, highlight their web like a hover would.
Explain why people would want to use it.
Makes it easier looking for specific people in dense webs
