Explain in detail what your suggested feature would be used for.
In VRCX Feed section, I'm seeing some friends going back and forth two worlds consistently. After investigation, those friends were using two separate vrchat profile log in the same time and going to two different instances. If they can go into "AskMe" mode then it's all good, it will only show up as Private, but since they are in "Green" status, it does update every minute, and VRCX is recording it, and end up my 10000 database records were only recording these people jumping between worlds and barely able to see my other friends activities. If I can just simply hide or put a tag to these users to NOT record them into database, that will be good. 10000 database records should be able to store up about 3 weeks to 2 months of records in my environment, but now it's less than 24 hours. ps. I don't want to unfriend them just because of that.

Describe how it would look if it requires a UI.
If I were going to do it.

  • I will do it within each friend's profile screen, top right corner - either using the STAR icon and add to an ignore list, or use the 3 dots and add to an ignore list.
  • and put a check on database writing routine against this ignore list and will not be recording any users within this ignore list.
  • and also put a 'do-not-enter' icon or whatnot next to the friends name on the right pane to indicate this user is on ignore list so no activities is recorded or showing.

Explain why people would want to use it.
since database performance degrade if I expand my database size, and with a reasonable performance size and you still want to have history showing, and prevent these kind of users occupying all the database records, I think for people who have friends that using different VRC profile to login simultaneously will find this feature helpful and useful.
