Is there an existing issue for this problem?

  • I have searched the existing issues

OrcaSlicer Version

2.3.2-dev as of 22 JAN 2026

Operating System (OS)

Linux

OS Version

EndeavourOS 2025.03.19

Additional system information

When I try to open a project, the file dialog doesn't show my soft links to folders in /mnt - in my case it's an NTFS drive, if that's significant? The "+ Other folders" doesn't show /mnt, either.

This works in the stable version of Orca (2.3.1)

Printer

Bambulab X1C

How to reproduce

  1. File|Open project
  2. Try to navigate to /mnt, or via a soft link to there

It refuses to acknowledge that the /mnt folder exists, or has anything in it, including the target of the soft link in ~ that it also doesn't "see".

then try it using Orca 2.31 and all of the above work

Actual results

Not really relevant, unless you want me to say "I expect to be able to open a file" :) Please see above

Expected results

Not really relevant; please see above

Project file & Debug log uploads

there isn't a project file; it's not relevant to the problem

Checklist of files to include

  • Log file
  • Project file
