Is there an existing issue for this problem?

  • I have searched the existing issues

OrcaSlicer Version

2.3.2-dev and below (12/02/25 BD6CFD6)

Operating System (OS)

Windows

OS Version

any

Additional system information

NA

Printer

Creality K2

How to reproduce

  1. Select the K2 Plus printer or other single extruder multy material printer, such as the Anycubic Kobra 3
  2. Add a cube
  3. Add 4 filaments to the project
  4. Paint all 4 filaments on the outside walls of the cube
  5. Add a complex model such as an infinity cube, or two, and set to "Flush into this object" in the object settings
  6. Click Slice and view a layer which uses all filaments.

Actual results

Only 1 or 2 of the used filaments, on a layer, are flushed into the flush object. Now change to a Bambu printer, such as the X1C, and re-slice. You will see it now flushes all used filaments, on the appropriate layers, within the flush object/s.

Expected results

All multi-material printers, such as the K2 or Kobra 3, should support "flush into this object" in the same way as when a Bambu printer is selected. Otherwise, for the K2, the print will suffer from significant color bleed.

Project file & Debug log uploads

Cube-FlushObject_BBL.zip

Checklist of files to include

  • Log file
  • Project file

Anything else?

When looking at the uploaded 3mf, with the K2 Plus selected, it only flushes 2 colors into the flush objects (the two on the right).

Image

On changing the printer to a Bambu X1C, the slicer will then flush all necessary filaments on each layer.

Note: Also, for a test, I tried copying all of the Bambu gcode sections to the K2 Printer and a K2 Filament, then re-sliced. Unfortunately this did not fix the issue.

Thanks!
