Is there an existing issue for this feature request?

  • I have searched the existing issues

I am painting a large model, which requires me to trace edges again and again while i add detail with another color.

I want to paint this eye to look like this:

It would be very beneficial for this kind of painting to be able to first "mask" the area with one color and then only paint over that color with other colors.

Which printers will be beneficial to this feature?

All

Describe the solution you'd like

An optional UI, where i can select to paint over all (current implementation) or specific colors.
When selecting "specific" a panel, similar to the color choosing one appears where i can enable or disable painting over certain colors.

Describe alternatives you've considered

Current solution is definitely usable, but this suggestion would provide an easier workflow for more complex projects.
