Is there an existing issue for this feature request?

  • I have searched the existing issues

When importing a file of multiple plates, onto a file of multiple plates, everything overlaps and is a mess.

Which printers will be beneficial to this feature?

All

Describe the solution you'd like

Lets say you have a job of 3 plates already open, and you drag-and-drop a file of 4 more plates.
You select "Import geometry only"
It would be great if that geometry that's already on 4 plates, could land on four new plates automatically.
Otherwise, trying to add new plates then select everything that might have been on 'new plate 1' that is now overlapped on 'old plate 3' and some off any plate... is just really user unfriendly.

Describe alternatives you've considered

At least import all the new files in the adjacent workspace and NOT directly on top of, existing plates making a mess.
