Is there an existing issue for this problem?

  • I have searched the existing issues

OrcaSlicer Version

2.3.1 (build f2d10a0)

Operating System (OS)

Linux

OS Version

Fedora 43

Additional system information

CPU: i7-1365U
RAM: 32 GB

Printer

Snapmaker U1

How to reproduce

Tried loading this model https://makerworld.com/de/models/1705128-cute-penguin#profileId-1808654 as pre-painted 3mf.

The remap filament function, however, seems to only consider the painted colors, but always takes the base color as 1.

Here is a video of the situation

Actual results

This model has a yellow base color with white, red and black being painted on.

Image

After this re-mapping yellow<>red and black<>white should be switched.

Image

However, the result is this. Everything has been switched as expected, except for the yellow which seems to be considered as 1 = black and is therefore mapped to white.

Image

Additionally after the mapping the base color has no influence any longer, all colors are now determined by the painting.

Expected results

I can't produce the correct result with the remap feature, as whatever base-color I choose it is always considered to be the same color as the beak and feet.
But it should look like this

Image

(colored it manually to look like this)

Project file & Debug log uploads

You can download the 3mf from https://makerworld.com/de/models/1705128-cute-penguin#profileId-1808654
I only opened it in OrcaSlicer, changed printer and filaments.
