Is there an existing issue for this feature request?

  • I have searched the existing issues

Same problem & different resolution propsed, than #4191

Problem:
If a layer is to short // printed too fast (== cannot slow down enough) to meet minimum layer time, this setting is effectively ignored.

==> Plastic does not have time to solidify -> unacceptable surface finish.

Which printers will be beneficial to this feature?

All

Describe the solution you'd like

Proposal:

  1. At least WARN if the minimum layer time is undershot
  2. Ideally implement an option, to automatically print a sacrificial object, to increase layer time (while keeping pressure and oozing under control)

Describe alternatives you've considered

  1. At least WARN if the minimum layer time is undershot

Additional context

No response
