Is there an existing issue for this problem?

  • I have searched the existing issues

OrcaSlicer Version

2.3.1

Operating System (OS)

Windows

OS Version

Windows 10

Additional system information

No response

Printer

Qidi Plus 4

How to reproduce

  1. Adjust slicer temps to be wildly different, 290c first layer - 30c other layers
  2. Slice

Actual results

Slicer follows through with slicing, ignoring the default temp range set in filament settings.

Expected results

Slicer realizes temp is out of spec of the set range and throws and error. Limit acceptable temps to the range set in the filament settings tab. Also should prob have some sort of check to make sure there aren't massive changes in layer temps. 290c to 30c should be easy to tell isn't right.

Also how is this not already implemented? Its a basic safety feature.

Project file & Debug log uploads

Don't need to upload file as this is reproduceable on any file

Checklist of files to include

  • Log file
  • Project file

Anything else?

should prob have 2 checks, temp within specified range, and temp within % of range.
