Is there an existing issue for this feature request?

  • I have searched the existing issues

When you use filaments with very contrasting colors, such as black and white, you will probably end up with a gray line across the layers in the white parts because the flushing volumes were not set correctly (I think this is called color bleeding). Sometimes is not as simple as that (some filaments are just much more transparent than others)

I thought that if I could tell the program to "avoid black-to-white filament changes," it might help.
In my example, the transition light pink to black seems a better solution to avoid wasting too much filament and might help with the color bleeding issue a lot.

Which printers will be beneficial to this feature?

All

Describe the solution you'd like

My proposed solution would be to add another drop-down menu to define custom rules. In my case, it would include options such as "avoid black-to-pink changes" and perhaps "use light colors first" (after previously defining which colors are considered light).

This also reminds me of another idea: adding a rule for "flushing into object infill" that would allow users to specify "avoid these colors for this feature."

Describe alternatives you've considered

when I try to change the color sequence for the layers—specifically swapping the positions of light pink and black in the first layer and then doing the same for the rest of the layers—the result is not what I expected. As a result, my color changes increased from 260 to 348.
I assume this is because the automatic sequence takes into consideration starting a new layer with the last color used in the previous layer. As a result, my color changes increased from 260 to 348.
