Is there an existing issue for this feature request?

  • I have searched the existing issues

Creality has come out with a second (better?) CFS upgrade kit for the K1 series printers, specifically called the CFS-C. This changes how the K1 series does multicolor, primarily no longer purging internal to the system. The problem is that there isn't printer profiles for these "new printers" outside of Creality Print 7.0 (CP7); even CP7 has a separate set of printer profiles for the K1 series without and with the CFS-C. I'd like to be able to do my color changing via Orca and currently can't thanks to the required firmware update for the CFS-C compatibility. The device tab gives a 404 as well despite the printer being shown as connected (I have a K1 Max)

Which printers will be beneficial to this feature?

Describe the solution you'd like

I'd like a printer profile setup for the CFS-C and its external purge system setup within Orca. It might breath some new life into those of us who haven't upgraded to a puepose built multicolor system yet.

Describe alternatives you've considered

  • I've checked to see if anyone has had a similar issue, and it looks like something similar might have happened with the initial CFS upgrade kits, which led me to print configs on Printables for that
  • I've attmepted to look for CFS-C configs on Printables in the same way as mentioned before, but the system seems too new. So much so that I've had a different extruder issue I'm working through with Creality.
  • I've tried copying some of the G-code from CP7 for the color changing into Orca only to be met with an error when I tried to slice (image under Additional context), somerelated to the purge tower, though there's probably something else that code isn't accounting for.
