Is there an existing issue for this problem?

  • I have searched the existing issues

OrcaSlicer Version

2.3.2

Operating System (OS)

Windows

OS Version

Windows 11

Additional system information

No response

Printer

Voron 2.4

How to reproduce

  1. Process settings > Quality > Walls and surfaces > Wall loop direction [auto]
  2. Process settings > Quality > Overhangs > Detect overhang walls [enabled]
  3. Process settings > Quality > Overhangs > Reverse on even [enabled]
  4. Process settings > Quality > Overhangs > Reverse threshold [300%]

Actual results

Changing the reverse threshold using values like 300%, 0%, 300mm, 0mm does nothing. The outer perimeter direction is still reversed regardless of the value of this setting. I tested this on a benchy (if that makes a difference).

The below image is on layer 121 and there is a red arrow indicating direction. This test was done with a value of 300%.

This is the next layer, layer 122.

Expected results

The reverse threshold value should effect the wall printing direction when it is changed. I used high values to demonstrate that it had no effect.
