Is there an existing issue for this feature request?

  • I have searched the existing issues

The built in calibration tests seem like they are setup for .4mm nozzles which causes frustration when trying to calibrate with a .2mm or .25mm nozzle. The tests end up being needlessly long and wasteful because you are printing comparatively large models with a small nozzle (Temperature, Flow Rate), needing some manual adjustments to work (Pressure Advance), or just flat out do not work without extensive setting modifications (Stringing test). I've not tried any of the more advanced ones but I imagine since they also print large models they will be equally bad to use.

Which printers will be beneficial to this feature?

All

Describe the solution you'd like

I would like an option to automatically set the tests up assuming a non-.4mm nozzle size, scaling the tests down for .2mm nozzles or up for larger ones. Test that use or generate geometry should scale the geometry down or up as needed. Flatter tests like Preassure Advance don't need to be resized but should use more appropriate layer heights for different nozzles.

Describe alternatives you've considered

Several tests use a pre-determined layer height. I would also be helpful if a desired layer height could be specified when the test was set up.

Additional context

These calibration tests are very important when using small nozzles to print miniatures so I try as much as possible to run the tests with the same small nozzles and layer heights that will be used in printing so anything that can help in setting those tests up would be amazing.
