I observed significant variation in shrinkage that depends on layer temperature. I was looking into layertime based shrinkage compensation, but control test indicated that it is more likely related to cooling of the layer during printing.

Describe the solution you'd like

I would like to introduce per layer shrinkage compensation based on estimated layer temperature.
It probably should be based on exponential decay of bed temperature with some component accounting for fast island effects introduced by

Describe alternatives you've considered

  1. Getting enclosed printer and heating the chamber to fairly high temperature (close to bed temperature)
  2. Using low bed temperature to reduce effect this has on lower layers (where shrinkage calibration is typically done), doesn't account for fast layers/islands

Additional context

Image Circles are constant layer time X are layer times increased by slowing down the printer

I will add results from my calibration ladder at various bed temperatures after it prints.
