The original slicer for the IdeaFormer IR3 V2 is extremely limited and performs poorly. I would really like to use Orca Slicer instead, but it currently doesn’t support continuous (endless) belt printers like the IR3 V2.

Describe the solution you'd like

I’d like Orca Slicer to include full support for continuous (endless) belt printers such as the IdeaFormer IR3 V2. This means proper handling of the infinite Z-axis, continuous printing workflows, correct bed visualization, and compatibility with belt angle calibration. Ideally, it should allow slicing long or repeated models seamlessly, just like on standard printers — but optimized for the belt system.

Describe alternatives you've considered

I haven’t tried other slicers because there are no real alternatives that support continuous belt printers like the IdeaFormer IR3 V2. The original slicer is the only option available, but it performs poorly and lacks the features and usability of Orca Slicer.

The IdeaFormer IR3 V2 is a continuous belt printer that allows theoretically infinite-length prints, making it great for batch production or long parts. Adding support for this type of printer would open Orca Slicer to a growing niche of users who currently have no good slicing options. I can provide test results if needed.
