Is there an existing issue for this problem?

  • I have searched the existing issues

OrcaSlicer Version

2.3.1

Operating System (OS)

Linux

OS Version

Kubuntu 25.10

Additional system information

No response

Printer

Voron 2.4

How to reproduce

  1. Start a new project
  2. File->Import->Import 3MF/STL/STEP/SVG/OBJ/AMF
    2a. ...or hit Ctrl-I if you're nasty.
  3. Navigate to some directory with importables, ~/whoopty/hoop/
  4. Save project as
  5. have to navigate back to the last directory you touched.

Actual results

Basically I want either a default behavior or a switch where I can make all file dialogs share the last used directory state. I don't want to have to keep navigating back to my working directory every time I open a new file dialog.

Expected results

Step 5 shouldn't happen; the save as dialog should have opened on to the last directory I touched from the import dialog.

Project file & Debug log uploads

Project file is irrelevant here.

Checklist of files to include

  • Log file
  • Project file
