When printing multiple small objects on the same build plate, a single object detaching from the bed often ruins the entire print (collision, spaghetti, failed layers).

Using a full brim on every object is sometimes excessive and unnecessary, especially when only a small mechanical connection would be enough to secure the part.
Currently, there is no way to selectively connect objects together at the brim level to improve bed adhesion while minimizing post-processing.

Describe the solution you'd like

Add a manual brim connector tool that allows the user to draw or place custom breakaway connectors between multiple objects on the build plate.

Proposed behavior:

  • The user can manually draw thin connectors between objects (similar to paint-on supports or modifier tools).

  • Connectors are generated only in the brim / first-layer region.

  • Connector parameters could be configurable:

    • Width
    • Height (number of layers)
    • Distance from object
    • Breakaway gap or weak interface
  • Connectors would be easy to remove after the print.

This would allow:

  • Securing small or tall objects
  • Partial brims instead of full per-object brims
  • Preventing one object failure from ruining the entire print

Describe alternatives you've considered

  1. Using full brims on all objects (too much material and cleanup).
  2. Printing objects sequentially (not always possible or safe).
  3. Modifying the CAD model to add sacrificial connectors (time-consuming and not slicer-friendly).
  4. Merging objects into a single STL (loses per-object settings and flexibility).

None of these provide a flexible, slicer-level solution.

Additional context

This feature would be especially useful for:

  • Small parts
  • Tall/narrow parts
  • Multi-object batch printing
  • Educational or production environments where reliability matters more than minimal material usage

Conceptually similar to:

  • Paint-on supports
  • Support enforcers / blockers
  • Custom brim generation per object
