Is there an existing issue for this problem?

  • I have searched the existing issues

OrcaSlicer Version

2.3.2

Operating System (OS)

Windows

OS Version

windows 11

Additional system information

No response

Printer

Ender 3 V3 KE

How to reproduce

  1. Create a new project and add a STEP file, such as one created in FreeCAD
  2. Save the project
  3. Reopen the project
  4. “Update” the modified model via “Reload from Disc”

Actual results

With version 2.3.1, the model was updated immediately and shown in the slicer.

With version 2.3.2, a selection window opens, so the STEP file must be selected again each time.

It appears that the filename/path of the imported STEP file is no longer saved in the project and is therefore lost when the project is reopened.

Expected results

the model was updated immediately and shown in the slicer.

Project file & Debug log uploads

test.zip

Checklist of files to include

  • Log file
  • Project file

Anything else?

This is a useful feature when creating and developing new models, providing a convenient way to check the results in Slice during the modeling process.
